How do I invite Jesus into my life?

By Stories of Hope , 29 August 2022

In the complexities of life, it’s easy for you to feel disoriented or burdened by challenges. There are times when the uncertainties you face will make you question your path, and the obstacles in your way seem almost too great to overcome.

However, here’s the Good News. Even in such difficult moments, there’s a beacon of everlasting hope: God is always here for you, ready to love, guide and comfort you when you earnestly seek Him with all your heart.

By taking a moment to pause and connect through prayer, you can find the direction and hope you’ve been yearning for. God is personal, and welcomes you with open arms.

If you’re at a crossroads in your life, consider saying this simple yet profound prayer. It will change your life.

“Dear Jesus,

I’m sorry for the things I’ve done in my life. I know that I cannot save myself.

Thank you for dying on the Cross, paying the price for all that I have done wrong.

I am ready to receive your gift of eternal life.

Please come into my heart and into my life. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Saviour. Show me the reality of who You are.

I pray all this in Your name,

Amen.”

With this prayer, you open your heart up to welcoming God into your life.

Find a Church

The Bible tells us we need people around us to journey with us, comfort us when we’re down, teach us, hold us accountable, and spur us to love others and do good deeds.

A church community provides this fellowship, especially when you join what is known as a life group or cell group – small groups of like-minded believers, usually in the same life stage.

Take time to find a church and small group that you feel comfortable in, and where you feel you can learn and grow in your faith.
